Under the leadership of Coach Pat Pucknell, the Hawks breezed through their LOSSA competition posting a perfect season.  The Denis O'Connor Chargers would finish last with the remaining five teams all losing at least twice.  Offensively, the Hawks were led by diminutive running back Dwight McKenzie who average 12 plus yards per carry.  After the conclusion of the season, Henry Street had to survive an Athletic Association review on their early season practices.  There had been a teacher's strike and some opposing coaches protested that Henry Street had indeed practiced during this work stoppage.  It was determined that they had practiced under the supervision of volunteer coaches and they were allowed to advance to the Metro Bowl quarterfinals against Cedarbrae where they were defeated and eliminated from further competition.
The Durham Bowl was played prior to the league championship game with the first place team from the regular season representing LOSSA..
Rob Fillmore and John Patton, both from Henry Street, were named to the Toronto Star All Star team.
