Within Oshawa, O'Neill would defeat Anderson for the Oshawa Championship however a column in the Oshawa Times indicated that the championship had been awarded to Courtice by the teachers. In the Oshawa Championship game, coaching was handled by school graduates and coaches from the Oshawa Hawkeyes football program

Within Junior, the "B" Championships were introduced in 2002 due to the growth of football within Durham and several different formats were used for the "B" Pool playdowns. Changes to the format are listed below in reverse chronological order:
2013: Teams finishing seventh through twelfth during the regular season competed for the Tier Two Championship.
2008 - 2012: The league is divided into two Tiers with each Tier playing down to a champion.
2007: The teams finishing fifth through eighth in both divisions advanced to the B Championship
2006: The teams finishing fifth through seventh in both divisions advanced to the B Championship
2005: The teams finishing fourth through sixth in each of the two divisions played for the B Championship
2003 - 2004: The teams losing their quarter-final game played for the B Championship
2002: Teams finishing fifth through eighth played for the B Championship.
